A publication design based on The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. In this project, there is the cover design, the book jacket, and a brief animation of the books moving on the shelves as described in the book. For this design, there is a drop cap M featured in the cover, creating a central focal point. The design pulls characteristics and references from the book, including the color palette, and the magical qualities of the library. All the books are tints and shades of green because that is how the books are described in the writing. The design itself features a clear layout with pops of color to highlight information and guide your eye as you scan the book’s design.
